In a fire situation the smallest defect can become a route for the spread of smoke and flame, not only endangering lives but also the property and lifeblood of an organisation.
Under the new legislation, The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the onus will now be on the “responsible designated person”, often the Premises Manager, to arrange for competent persons to undertake regular fire safety assessments of their buildings.
As part of the Fire Risk Assessment processes we can provide additional detailed structural photographic surveys and reports for buildings to identify any defects (and effective remedial works required) under the new legislation.
