Fire Stopping and Passive Fire Protection Services.

Well-maintained fire compartments and their regular inspection are a key element in the fire safety of buildings. The introduction of mechanical, electrical, and I.T. Services often breaches safe compartments and defects can stay hidden, typically in ceiling voids and riser cupboards, until a fire occurs and the problem becomes all too apparent.

Passive Fire SuppressionIn a fire situation the smallest defect can become a route for the spread of smoke and flame, not only endangering lives but also the property and lifeblood of an organisation.

Under the new legislation, The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the onus will now be on the “responsible designated person”, often the Premises Manager, to arrange for competent persons to undertake regular fire safety assessments of their buildings.

As part of the Fire Risk Assessment processes we can provide additional detailed structural photographic surveys and reports for buildings to identify any defects (and effective remedial works required) under the new legislation.
